The lovechild of Puchong and Seremban, Deena Dakshini (she/they) is an interdisciplinary Tamil artist nesting in her rice bowl of writing.
As a writer/director to Haiku: A Neurodivergent Harmony (2023), Gasing (2024) and Kairu (2025), their work delves into cultural dissociation, community history, and feminism. Deena's exploration of theatre has revealed a profound connection to the stage, leading them to accept theatre as their true calling with their local theatre debut in Buang Sial (2024) - dir. by Effa Qamariani, produced by EJKLSeni. Deena is also founder of the local Malaysian poetry community @toolismalaysia.
Besides cruising as a Comms advisor in event management, and copywriting her wit into local brands you know and love, this bee just loves cooking, recharging her social battery in bed and _(hope)_ you guessed it - Agnes Varda!
