About
After an intensive physical theatre programme led by Sharanya of Hush Theatre, our performers are proud to present their final showcase: Theatre in Motion – Things Left Behind.
Over the course of several weeks, participants have explored six unique and expressive movement styles: – Butoh – raw, emotive movement from Japan – Mime – the art of silent storytelling – Commedia dell’Arte – masked comedy rooted in tradition and improvisation – Mask Work – transformation through stillness and exaggeration – Gesture Work – using the body as language – Frantic Assembly – high-energy, ensemble-based physical theatre
Armed with these tools, the ensemble has devised a new performance based on the evocative theme “Things Left Behind.” Each of the four groups will present their own 20-minute original piece—an exploration of memories, objects, people, and moments that linger or fade.
