When Shakespeare Demystified: A Midsummer Night’s Dream premiered in Penang in February 2020, audiences roared with laughter and fell in love with the Bard’s timeless storytelling. Now, KL Shakespeare Players (KLSP) is bringing the magic back!

KLSP is Malaysia’s only theatre company dedicated to regularly staging Shakespeare’s works, making them accessible without oversimplifying. Since 2011, teachers have told us that our performances do half their work, while many adults have shared that, for the first time, they truly understand Shakespeare’s more challenging passages and scenes.

Synopsis

In a forest, love and magic collide as mischievous fairies meddle with four young lovers and a troupe of amateur actors. Mistaken identities, enchantments, and a love potion gone wrong create chaos and comedy
