Caleb Goh is a lawyer by profession and an amateur historian in his free time. He has a deep interest in the early histories of Malaya and Singapore, particularly as melting pots of cultural convergence. He’s a collector, a passionate storyteller and on his way turn back time!

Through the lens of Tiang Tamu, Caleb Goh guides you through 16 historic landmarks in Kuala Lumpur. Journey through time, immerse yourself in the stories, and cultivate a deeper connection to a town you call home.

Sketchwalk Session with Gladys Simpson

Gladys is a passionate urban sketcher and artist respected for innate ability to capture moments as they happen. This year marks a decade of urban sketching for her. She also teaches travel sketching and basic watercolour classes. Gladys co- founded an urban sketching group called SketchAbout KL in April of 2022. Sign up for a walk & sketch session with Gladys Simpson, commemorating buildings into drawings!

Things To Bring : 

  • Drawing pad/sketchbook A5 or A4 size - a sketchbook that can withstand water if you plan to work with a wet medium. 
  • Watercolour set - suggest watercolour set in half-pans, or portable ones in apalette that has mixing space. 
  • Brushes - either traditional brushes or water brushes. 
  • A small plastic jar for water - if you are planning to work with watercolour. 
  • A rag or kitchen towel for cleaning. 
  • Feel free to bring your preferred medium - anything easy to manage outdoors, e.g. graphite pencil, colour pencil, fountain pen, graphic pen, etc. Make sure its water resistant ink.

Optional:

  •  Foldable stool
  • Water bottle - for drinking and for those who work with watercolour
