About
Kāse Seka began as a deep body exploration of the Seka dance, originally researched among the Kamoro tribe in Kaimana and now practiced throughout West Papua and Southwest Papua. This captivating performance embodies the spirit of gotong royong—a collective unity and balance within Papuan culture—where gestures of cleansing, welcoming, and exchange invite audiences to connect with the profound relationship between humanity and nature.
Set in Kaimana, a city symbolising harmony, tolerance, and unity among its diverse indigenous tribes, Kāse Seka urges us to embrace both cultural and environmental stewardship as vital to our shared future. Join us for an unforgettable journey bridging art, tradition, and ecology in a powerful celebration of connection and preservation.
