Edwin is a dedicated employee who works hard at the advertising firm of Chan and Chan Sdn Bhd. His colleagues include the fun-loving Joanne, the loving family man Indran and Derek, a shameless suck-up. Edwin plans to buy a bigger house for his loving wife, Sarah, as they are planning to have a family soon. When Edwin dies unexpectedly from over-work, his mean boss Chan is distraught as he was involved in a very important project. Chan hires Aini, a bomoh to bring him back as a corporate zombie. After he discovers the benefits of having the undead on his staff, Chan takes things way too far. It is up to Sarah, Edwin and the other staff members to come together and save the day.

NICOLE-ANN THOMAS
DIRECTOR

NICOLE-ANN THOMAS  is an established actress, director and choreographer, who is one of the founders of local theatre collective Theatrethreesixty. Her recent works include acting in 'Angels in America', and directing 'Bare Beckett', 'The Pillowman' and 'The Fall of the House of Usher', all under Theatrethreesixty. She recently won 'Best Director' at Short and Sweet Musical 2018.

KELVIN LOH
MUSIC DIRECTOR

KELVIN LOH graduated with a Bachelors of Music ( BMus ) from the prestigious Birmingham Conservatoire with a distinction. He obtained a Licentiate Diploma of Trinity College London from Fantasia Music School where he studied piano performance under the guidance of Dr. Fan Sow Mun. He won the Silver medal in the ASIA International Piano Academy and Competition in Korea in September 2009 and was a finalist in the 2010 Roland Piano Festival in both Piano Duet and Pop & Jazz categories.

KENNY SHIM
CHOREOGRAPHER

Kenny Shim completed his BA in Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and subsequently his Post Grad at London Contemporary Dance School (Masters in Contemporary Dance Performance). He joined the EDge Dance Company (London) 2016. During his training in the U.K., Kenny has worked with choreographers and company’s members from around Europe such as Wayne McGregor, Tom Roden, Alexander Whitley, Phillipe Blanchard, Gary Lambert, Alison Curtis-Jones, Lea Anderson, Joseph Toonga, Jeanne Yasko and Fred Ghedrig. With an aptitude in choreography, Kenny has crafted works that have toured Europe namely, ‘Within’ and ‘Rite’. Recently, Kenny produced his debut production: TRIPLE BILL of Contemporary Dance Works, featuring two new choreographies – Winged Wolves and the Bamboo Mew and Pieces of Three Movements. He is also the commissioned choreographer for the 15th Boh Cameronian Arts Award (arts awards that has been devoted to recognising outstanding Malaysian art practitioners). Kenny has a strong interest in film and has collaborated with Chicago based NEON 35 MEDIA Company in choreographing the recent H&M advert. He is also the movement director of the acclaimed musical The Edge, 10th Anniversary production written by Nick Choo, directed by Christopher Ling.

TAN CHER KIAN @ CK
PRODUCER

Bornean Sabahan indulging in his midlife crisis making a leap from oil & gas engineering sales specialist to theatre practitioner. Started his dalliances with the stage due to his affinity to his mother tongue (literally) Cantonese that led him to the evolving-work of My Grandfather’s Road (Singapore) by Neo Kim Seng since 2017. CK also co-produced IQ.ROCK RESTAGE by Anomalist Production and Stereo Genmai by Ridhwan Saidi in 2018; both Malay language productions in Malaysia. Aspiring writer and director; interested in works that break down barriers yet building bridges.

TERENCE TOH
LYRICIST AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

TERENCE TOH writes newspaper features by day and fiction by night. His ten minute musicals have also been performed at the Short and Sweet Musical festival, where he won Best Libretto in 2012, 2015 and 2016. His short theatre pieces have been performed at the Short and Sweet Theatre Festivals in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. His other works include 'Tales From the Jamban' (2017), IndicineLive V (2018) and the upcoming 'Euphrasia:The Musical'.

LYDIA TONG
COMPOSER

LYDIA TONG works as a lawyer and dabbles in songwriting/musical writing in her (albeit limited) free time. Lydia has taken part in Short and Sweet Musical from 2012 to 2016 and won Best Composition in 2012. She also often duets with her younger sister Lynell who also shares her passion of song-writing, together, they have performed as a duo in Klpac, Live@TAS 2016, Shakespeare Sonnets 2016, and Indicine theatre 2013 after winning awards in Short and Sweet Song 2013.

JIACY CHUAH
PRODUCTION MANAGER

JIACY CHUAH earned her Bachelor Degree in Classical Music from UCSI in 2015. Besides working as a music teacher and accompanist, she has joined the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center (KLPAC) as an intern, where she explored various work fields. She has been lucky enough to be assigned as the assistant for the Director, Dr. Deric Gan in the award-winning productions; The Dawns Here Are Quiet (2016), Peking Man (2018) & The Ring of The Nibelung. After her internship, she has been offered the role as stage manager to many music concerts to support the local musicians. She also had the opportunity to stage manage different types of productions like Dato Seri, 16-Bit Coriolanus, Don’t Let Children Know, Duality;, Fame (The Musical), Between The Lines, 7 Voices 2.0 & The Ring of Nibelung.

WEI HOCK NG
LIGHTING DESIGNER/ STAGE MANAGER

Since 1996, Wei Hock Ng has been involved in performing and designing for theatre. Starting off as a dancer, performer, and director, he has presented experimental theatre written for both him and others. Wei Hock is also multidisciplinary and aso skilled in the area of technical theatre. He has worked with major arts centres in Malaysia, notably The Actor’s Studio Theatre, KLPAC, PJ Live Arts, and DPAC. Familiarity with the technical set-up and specifications within these art centres has also fed his lighting designs, making effective lighting designs with limited number of lighting equipment. His artistic work Small Theatre Project (under the Dramatic Art Society) has gained him recognition through reviews in Sin Chew Jit Poh and BFM as the top theatre pieces in the year 2015.

CHRISTOPHER LING
SET DESIGN

CHRISTOPHER LING is the artistic director and co-founder of Malaysian theatre collective, theatrethreesixty. His work as a director of plays, operas and musicals has been seen in Malaysia, Singapore and London, UK. He was awarded the Boh Cameronian Arts Award for Best Direction (Musical Theatre) in 2012. Christopher has also been nominated twice for Best Set Design in the same category for THE LAST FIVE YEARS (2010) and THE EDGE (2018). He received the Anugerah Seni Negara (National Arts Awards) Young Talent Award for Theatre Directing in 2009. He trained in Drama and Theatre Arts at Middlesex University, UK and with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

DOMINIQUE
COSTUME DESIGNER

Dominique a sought after theatre costume designer in Malaysia, has worked extensively in Indonesia, Thailand and Mauritius. Dominique received community recognition when she won the first of her many Cameronian arts awards for SUMUNDA’s “Five letters from eastern empire” in 2004 and was also awarded best costumes for Animal farm, ismail, dream girls, empress wu and the producer, seussical. Her others designs credits include Sybil, Broadway parodies, Tunku, Aladdin, Mad Man Diary, Butterfly Lovers, Always in Wonderland, Cabaret and many more. She currently designs from her studio located in Desa Sri Hartamas.

IZ SULAINI as Edwin

IZ SULAINI, mostly known for his work on 8TV's One In A Million Season 2 and Astro's Fear Factor Selebriti Malaysia, is a diverse creative professional. He has opened for international acts (Usher, Korea's The Wonder Girls) and performed with Tony Award winner Lea Salonga in Malaysia and Singapore. Often carrying the male singing voice in Disney films and series dubbed in Malay, he also composes original music for other artists, advertisements and TV. Currently, he is indulging in his new-found love of acting. He last dabbled in musicals, but will feature in a full-length Malay film in December 2018.

KIRTHANA KUHENDRAN as Sarah

KIRTHANA KUHENDRAN started off doing musicals in high school which is where her interest for theatre started. She proceeded to join the well known Theatre For Young People (T4YP) programme at KLPAC as soon as she graduated. She participated in 2 musicals during 2017’s Short + Sweet winning awards for both including best supporting actress. Now studying music in Sunway University, she is a student with a passion for both music and theatre.

COLIN KIRTON as Chan

Colin’s theatre acting credits include Broken Bridges – The Musical, P Ramlee The Musical, Paper Crane, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Julius Caesar. Directorial credits include Follow The Light and Crazy Little Thing Called Love. At the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards, Colin has been nominated for Best Vocal Performance (Solo) for klpac’s Broken Bridges – The Musical (2007) and won for Best Group Performance (Theatre) as part of the ensemble for Footstool Players’ Crazy Little Thing Called Love (2009). He also bagged Best Director at klpac’s Short+Sweet Theatre Festival 2013 for Almighty Might. On television, Colin is best known for his lead role in the award-winning hit series Ghost 2, and supporting roles in blockbuster Mandarin drama series Age of Glory 2 and Mining Magnate. Recent appearances include viu.com’s Salon and The Bridge. On Youtube, he has performed for local Youtubers TheMingThing, JinnyboyTV, The Salad Show and Grim Film. Colin is also in demand as a theatre skills trainer, voice talent/actor and professional emcee.

BRIAN CHEONG as Derek

BRIAN CHEONG is a lover of stories, songs and life, who brings sunshine and an over-active imagination into everything close to him. The love story between Brian and the Performing Arts began with The Operafest Children’s Choir, with his first performance being “Oliver!” Having performed in several shows such as “Macbeth”, “Merrily We Roll Along”, “Two From Galilee” and many choral performances with The Canticle Singers, he is extremely excited in lending his voice, abilities, and to give life to Derek in The Working Dead.

DENISE YAP as Joanne

Denise is a food-loving opera-diva-wanna-be who has recently finished performing in the latest run of Ola-Bola the Musical. Previously she was in Enfiniti Academy's MUD the Musical and also participated in the latest Short + Sweet Musical competition with an original 10-minute piece called Coming Out, which won five awards including the Mercedes-Benz Award for Creative Excellence.
She is spending the year picking up new things like tumbling, being an apprentice pilates instructor and exploring different music and dance genres.
She enjoys teaching, entertaining and telling stories that inspire...and eating Korean Fried Chicken.

ZUKHAIRI AHMAD as Indran

Zukhairi has been active in performing arts since 2009. A lawyer by profession, he quit his legal practice in December 2008 to follow his passion in performing arts. His first involvement in a musical started with the award winning musical “Puteri Gunung Ledang” produced by Enfiniti Production in 2009 as dance ensemble. Thereafter, he acted in “Teater Mahsuri” produced by Sanggar Teater Fauziah Nawi held in Istana Budaya in 2009. He also acted in a number of major musical shows held in Istana Budaya such as “Cuci-cuci the musical” season 1,2 & 3, “Lat Kampung Boy : a musical”, all produced by Tall Order Production. In 2014, he was casted to the role of “Teh Mama” in the longest running musical in Malaysia, MUD: Our story of Kuala Lumpur on which he performed more than 2000 shows until the show ended in April 2016. In 2018 he's back in Istana Budaya to perform in “Ola-bola the Musical” where he played the role of “Pakcik Ghani” and Understudying the lead role of “Rahman”.
Zukhairi also performed in Kuala Lumpur Performing Art Centre (KLPAC) for “Mamak Mee-ah : a musical parody” and Short and sweet festival in 2010 and 2011. He also performed in Damansara Performing Art Centre (DPAC) for a theatre show “Miasma” in 2016.
Other than stage performance, Zukhairi also been active in voice acting/ dubbing in local and international tv programs which includes cartoons for Disney, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon channel, documentaries for Discovery Channel, Korean dramas and telenovela. Among the popular cartoon series that was dubbed to Bahasa Melayu using his voice are “Transformer” where he played the role of “Bumblebee” and another dubbing project titled “Troll” the animated series for Disney channel.

TINA ISAACS as Aini

A lawyer by day and artiste by night, Tina Isaacs feeds her creative soul with fiction writing, acting and singing. Tina had her start with the Kidbrooke Children’s Theatre Company in London in the 80’s, and performed in the Malaysian nightclub circuit while freelancing as an Emcee, announcer and voice over artist during the 90’s. In 2018, Tina returned to the theatre scene by appearing in the workshop production of “Working Dead - A New Musical” and “Adam! The Musical” (TAS @ KLPAC). This year, apart from reprising her role as “Aini The Bomoh” here, Tina joins the Kuala Lumpur City Opera in their production of Verdi’s “La Traviata” and Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. Tina has an LL.B from University of London and a Master in Fine Arts in Creative Writing (Fiction) from University of Tampa, Florida. PRYANKA RASA as Ensemble (Jamie)

Pryanka started singing at the age of 7 after being inspired by everyone's favourite childhood superstar, Miley Cyrus. She entered the musical theatre scene at the age of 16 after taking vocal lessons for 9 years and has been in love with the theatre ever since. From her experiences in Fame the Musical (2017) to Short + Sweet Malaysia (2018), singing back up at Boh's Cameronian Award Show (2018) and playing Mitch in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (2019), the life on the stage has further sparked her love for the arts; inspiring her to pursue it as a future career prospect. Composers and lyricists like Stephen Sondheim, Sara Bareilles and Jason Robert Brown were the few catalysts that fed her passion for musical theater. By day she is your average college student pursuing her diploma in performing arts and by night she is an aspiring actor attending rehearsals and performing whenever and wherever she can. Despite her busy schedule, she never fails to fit in coconut water, her friends and a whole lot of procrastination, all to keep her sane from a hectic life.

ZHAFRI HASSAN as Ensemble (Razak)

Zhafri Hassan, a native of Kuala Lumpur, Aswara graduates in Music majoring Vocal. A vocal teacher and a freelance singer and actor.
Experience in teaching for more than 5 years and teaching as far as in Bandung, Indonesia. Had made a singing performance in Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra with Gamelan Aswara musician and performed for national local music awards.
 
Zhafri Hassan also has performed in a few musical theater such as MUD The Musical (Enfiniti Academy) and Makyung (ASWARA Traditional Musical Theater.)

ZICKRY YUSOFF as Ensemble (Lucas)

Zickry Yusoff loves inspiring people through his enthusiastic and bubbly attitude towards life. He was under the wing of Michael Parks Masterson, a Broadway veteran and did shows that took excerpts from musicals in Penang(2012), Kuala Lumpur(2013) and Bangkok(2014), being one of the lead soloists and sang "Without Love" and “Fiddler on The Roof". He alongside a few other performers under Monday Show Entertainment performed “Star-Spangled Banner” & “Negaraku” at the U.S Embassy. He played Princeton in the adapted & localized version of "Avenue Q" the musical, Nick in "Fame" the musical and also Chip in “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” by Monday Show Entertainment.

LEE HAN
PIANIST

As a dedicated pianist, Lee Han made himself into final of the 6th Malaysian Jazz Piano Festival in 2019 and won the title of Judges' Choice. He also had gained the opportunity to play in masterclass for jazz pianist Michael Veerapen at the UCSI Piano Pedagogy Conference in 2017 at UCSI University. Besides playing jazz, he also participated in the Short and Sweet Musical Competition in 2018, as a pianist for Practically Purrfect, a musical directed by Nichole Ann Thomas.As a member of the UCSI Concert Choir, he achieved gold medal (Category D) and was awarded Absolute Winner at the 10th International Choir Festival in Thailand in 2017. Currently, he's pursuing Bachelor Of Contemporary music at UCSI.

STEVIE TOBI
DRUMMER

Stevie Tobi is a Drumming Chemical Engineer. Playing since he was 14, Stevie has gone on to become a sessionist while also joining a local rock band, The Wicked Livers. He plays everything from metal to jazz and says that his passion has always been and will always be music.

CHING ENG SHEN
CONDUCTOR and SAXOPHONE

Known popularly as Shensation, Shen is a conductor, musical director, multi-instrumentalist, & composer. He holds the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) in piano performance and he has received training at the Overseas Masters Winter Piano Academy (OMWPA) held at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School. Having done musical theatre since 14 years old, Shen has served in numerous musical capacities. Some notable performances he has conducted include Dreamgirls, SHOUT!, Everworld, Seussical, Esya, Grease, & Into The Woods.

JONATHAN WONG KETSHIN
SCORER

JONATHAN WONG KETSHIN is a guitarist and music educator who hails from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Since completing his Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Hons) at UCSI University, Malaysia, Jonathan has been actively involved in a wide range of work within the Malaysian music industry. His unique playing style comes from his background in fingerstyle guitar and draws from his love for World/Folk music styles, his training as an improvising musician and his experience in performing various contemporary styles. Offstage, Jonathan is a music educator and guitar instructor who also dabbles in scoring and arranging work.

ALBERT LOO KIM SENG
GUITAR

With a "kapok" guitar gift, he begin to explore the instrument around the age of 5 and became his serious hobby. He did win a PJ state all instrumental competition at 14 and pursue some classical guitar studies until his school barred him from keeping fingernails, needed for higher classical guitar grades. So, he bought an electric guitar and played some rock music. He likes to mention 2 teachers that he holds dearly for his music development - Akhbar Nawab for teaching him music theory at his younger age and Farid Ali for jazz guitar lessons at his older age. 

SAMUEL JAMES ADAM
BASS

Samuel James Adam grew up in a family full of musicians, which influenced him to pursue his career as a musician. He did his Diploma in Music at the Malaysian Institute of Arts. He is actively involved in the music scene and has played for severa events and done sessions for several upcoming artists.Samuel is a multi0instrumentalist, and recently played in Euphrasia: The Musical, which was performed in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Kota Kinabalu.
