About

A play written by William Shakespeare about a Scottish warrior named Macbeth who encounters 3 witches who tell him that he will become king. He becomes obsessed with the idea and, with the encouragement of his wife, he kills the current king and takes the throne. However, his guilt and paranoia lead to his downfall and eventual death.

Delivered in contemporary English with some key phrases found in the original Shakespeare play, this approach allows the young audience aged 6 - 12 to not only to follow the story’s main plot and themes, but also to learn famous utterances like, “Fair is foul, and foul is fair...” or “Double, double, toil and trouble...”

This interactive play will have the performers leading the young audience into audience-participation in some key scenes, like the battle between the royal forces and the rebels, a banquet, the seduction of the witches and a dance.

'It is definitely not a sit-down-and-watch quietly kind of performance !".
