About Performer and Editor

Irene Pons (Spain)

cannot imagine a time when she has not had a love of dance. She started to dance Catalan folk dances at the age of seven for 10 years. As an adult, she felt the need for more freedom and creativity in her dance. Moving to Mallorca six years ago, she started to dance Contact Improvisation and Body Weather regularly. At the same time, she studied Integrative Body Therapy for three years. Later, she moved to SerVivo, a dance community in Portugal where she continued her movement journey. Over the last two years she has immersed herself in a deep practice of CI through being involved in many residences organized by "Towards - Centre for the practice and research of Contact Improvisation" in Thailand. Irene is also an Osteothai massage therapist and a filmmaker specializing in dance film.

About Performer

Paweł Kubiak (Poland)

A dancer and educator. He graduated CUUD Breath Integration School. During his studies in Poznań, he worked in a forest kindergarten, led Cl classes and movement workshops dedicated for parents and children. He organizes jams, workshops and lead classes in various cities in Poland and at festivals (Israel CI Convention, Solo&CI Tirol festival, Warsaw Flow, FRU festival). He explores improvisation in motion and playing music - he is fascinated by combining these worlds and the dialogue between them.

About Cinematograher

Liew Chee Heai (Malaysia)

Chee Heai is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes photography, performance art, installation art, and short video. In 2019, he made his directorial debut and performed in ‘Seni Tiga #03: Void in Void’. In 2022, he exhibited ‘My Island’, a site-specific installation, as well as directed and performed in ‘khakkhakkhak’ performance art. In 2023, he performed in ‘Sisyphus No. 9’ directed by Tung Jit Yang, and ‘Symbiocene’ directed by Lim Sheng Hui. He is awarded Best Set And/Or Visual Design in Theatre category for ‘Symbioscene’. Doing hands-on work every day makes his cells happy.

Known for his innovative approach to blending acoustic and electronic sounds, Kent’s work spans across dance, theatre, and multidisciplinary art, with performances both in Malaysia and internationally.
