Ask Dance Company proudly presents Menempa Tari Tradisi 2024 Di Bumi Kenyalang, a dynamic celebration of Malaysia’s traditional dances. Following the success of the inaugural production in 2022, this year’s event is set to bring even greater cultural richness and joy. With the support of ArtsFAS Festival by Yayasan Hasanah and the Ministry of Finance, and in partnership with Sekolah Seni Malaysia Kuching, this performance celebrates the unique heritage of Sarawak — the land of the hornbill — adding to the beauty and diversity of Malaysian dance.

About the Show
Menempa Tari Tradisi 2024 Di Bumi Kenyalang is an enchanting performance that captures the unity and beauty of Malaysia’s traditional dances. Featuring dancers from ASK Dance Company and Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak, the production offers a rich repertoire, including rarely performed dances such as Terinai Ketam Bawa Anak (Malay Classical Dance) and Bharatanatyam. Each performance celebrates Malaysia’s cultural heritage through dance, honoring our ancestors and preserving their artistry.
