About

A Unique Charity Orchestral Concert Celebrating Cultural Harmony.

The term “Saranam,” meaning “Surrender” in Sanskrit, encapsulates the concert's theme of gratitude and unity through music.

Since 1994, Pertubuhan Penggiat Seni Budaya dan Warisan Unik Negeri Sembilan has been a vital platform for nurturing classical Indian and multi-ethnic dance and music.

Currently, the association seeks to raise funds to upgrade musical instruments, studio equipments, and students costumes in furthering its mission of promoting cultural appreciation and artistic expression.

In Malaysia's vibrant, multi-religious, and multi-ethnic society, “Saranam” aims to foster harmony and celebrate the rich tapestry of traditions that define the nation. This groundbreaking concert will merge classical string instruments with choirs and a variety of traditional Malaysian instruments, showcasing a unique soundscape that reflects the country's diverse heritage.

Audiences will experience a one-of-a-kind performance where artists from different religious backgrounds come together to share their music on a single stage. Selections will include songs traditionally performed in various religious contexts, thoughtfully arranged to honor the sensitivities of each faith while encouraging a collective spirit of thanksgiving and reverence for the Creator.

In addition to the concert, attendees are invited to participate in a free crystal healing workshop themed "The Journey Back To You," conducted by two practitioners with over a decade of experience in the field. This enriching workshop aims to promote self-discovery and healing, enhancing the overall experience of the event.

Featuring renowned artists, each with over a decade of experience in the music industry, “Saranam” promises to deliver an unforgettable evening. The concert will include a fusion of traditional Malaysian instruments, such as the Sape’, Nadaswaram, Harmonium, Sitar, Dagu Drum, Rebana Asli, Tabla, Ruan and UkuLuna alongside classical Western strings like Violins, Viola, Cello etc.
