Artist Statement:

In my works, I utilize the radio as an acoustic instrument to collage both invisible/inaudible radio

waves and visible/audible ambient sounds in real-time.

True to the etymology of “Radio,” radio freely traverses the boundaries of voice, noise, and si-

lence, connecting radiant waves. Through tuning, it can move amongst various sonic landscapes.

By physically moving the radios, I present a landscape/soundscape that captures the sponta-

neity of that moment and place. Of course, the audience is also a part of the ensemble which influences the environment.

To also be performing

Stephan Kain

Stephan Kain is a music producer from Malaysia with his own distinct sound. Often blending organic multicultural melodies and instruments to harmonize with electronic influences fromgenres like Dub, D&B, House/Techno, and Garage.

Stephan’s ever-evolving music now revolves around modular explorations, infused with a playful touch of electronic dance-oriented experimental beats and breaks. His tracks are led by a colorful palette of emotions while embodied in textural rhythms, soothing vocals, and ambient soundscapes.

Cerikapak

An audiovisual artist based in Kuala Lumpur, experiments with both software and hardware samplers, synthesizers, and effects boxes to create moody, hypnotic electronica. His music defies easy classification - often falling in between genres like ambient, techno, house, and breakbeat.
