Stroke，是線條，是撫摸也是中風……

去年三月，我經歷了中風，右手完全不能動彈，更不要說書寫。不過經過幾個月的物理與中醫治療後，右手慢慢的恢復。在去年八月，我嘗試書寫了第一幅作品，從比較笨拙的線條開始，雖然到現在是以較靈活的線條，但也還未回到中風前般隨心所欲感覺。

記得未中風之前，也曾效仿一些笨拙線條的作品。但現在的感覺，完全是不一樣的體會。經過這次的經歷，讓我體會到技窮的囧境，也讓我體驗到沒有了手指的靈活，是如何書法的。
這次展出的作品，是中風後製作的。在心態上與技術上有和之前的不一樣，或一樣，就讓你們去發掘吧！

Stroke — it's a line, a touch, and also a stroke...

Last March, I suffered a stroke. My right hand was completely paralyzed, rendering me unable to write. However, after several months of physical therapy and traditional Chinese medicine treatments, my right hand gradually regained function. In August of last year, I attempted my first piece of calligraphy since the stroke. The initial lines were clumsy, and although my strokes are now more fluid, they still haven't returned to the effortless grace they had before.

I remember mimicking works with clumsy lines before my stroke, but the experience now feels entirely different. This ordeal has given me a profound understanding of the struggle of reaching one's limits and has taught me what it means to create calligraphy without the dexterity of my fingers.

The pieces in this exhibition were created after my stroke. There are differences in both mindset and technique compared to my earlier works. Whether these differences are better or worse is for you to discover.
