Gan's Old Videos

In conjunction with Gan Siong King's My Video Making Practice mashup event, there will be a special one-off screening of all the videos he has made in his Malaysian Artists at Work series.
  
Come encounter these poetic, thoughtful portraits of contemporary calligrapher Ong Chia Koon, cycling activist and photographer Jeffrey Lim, electric guitar amplifier maker Nik Shazwan and singer-songwriter Takahara Suiko on the big screen.

And then come see how Gan reuses, remixes and re-edits the footage from these works and combines them with his own memories, reflections and personal materials to make My Video Making Project - which runs from 20-23 and 27-30 June 2024 at Five Arts Centre, GMBB KL.
