About the Show

“I am the finance manager. I am the marketing manager. I am the graphic designer. I am the production manager. I am one-leg-kick”

Seeing the need for local and regional producers to re-define themselves, exchange case studies, and upgrade their skills, this 4-day workshop is organised FOR producers BY producers.

This workshop aims to:
1)  Enable producers to meet and exchange ideas;
2)  Help producers address issues they face with their work;
3)  Learn new skills from experienced producers and guest speakers; and
4)  Create opportunities for emerging producers to meet more experienced producers from the region.

This workshop is conceived by arts producer and screenwriter June Tan.  Since 1997, June has stage-managed, tour-managed, and produced numerous local and international co-productions, including Five Arts Centre performances such as Baling, Version 2020, GE14 and A Notional History.  From 2018-2020 she was a Director for TPAM in Yokohama - a platform reflecting contemporary thinking in Asian performing arts.  June’s producing experience builds from her experience in the corporate sector (1997-2008).  She is interested in understanding systems, and in facilitating space for difference, for discussion, and models for art making.  June is also involved as secretariat and committee member of ReformARTsi, a community coalition advocating policy change in the arts.
