Rachel An was trained as a gifted music student at Chungbuk Arts High School and later earned her Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance from Chung-Ang University in Korea. She also earned her Master's degree in the Art MBA at Kyung Hee University.
She has performed as a member of the Chungbuk Youth Orchestra and participated in the Kobe Cello Festival in Japan, as well as various invitation performances in many Asian countries such as China, Japan, and Thailand.
Rachel has received numerous awards from music competitions and has been actively involved in a wide range of chamber music and orchestral performances in Korea.
With a deep passion for tango and gypsy music, Rachel An has worked as a jazz cellist in Korea, contributing to album recordings, live performances, and broadcasts on KBS and EBS.
Currently, she is based in Penang, Malaysia, where she continues her musical journey through various performances and educational activities, sharing the beauty of music with a wider audience.
