Haru is a theatre director, visual-audio artist, and artistic director of Howls Collective. His recent stage directing credits include "KAKUREGA 隠れ家", an immersive-participative play exploring artist hideouts, "My Castle Town", a short surrealistic piece on modern survival directed within 24 hours, "If Only", an experimental devised play prodding the mental aesthetic of what-ifs, and Chrystal Foo's "Sorry I Get Sentimental When We Drive", a short platonic vs. romantic piece which took place in an actual moving Myvi.
Previously known as Asher Au, Haru entered the scene as a stage manager before venturing into multiple areas such as acting and lighting design. He is occasionally found teaching drama to kids and stage directing to young adults. BA (Hons) Theatre & Drama: University of South Wales, Cardiff.
