醒目Seng Mok

当我们因为实习而踏入拍摄工作的行列时，常常发现工作内容需要靠我们自身的观察与智慧，去发现那些能够提供帮助的瞬间，并从中学习成长。因此，业界前辈们建议我们：“醒目一点叻”，“自己醒目啦”，“帮我找多几个醒目的人”。

这些建议提醒我们，在创作和执行工作的过程，必须时刻保持机灵敏锐，迅速反应，适应各种新环境。我们希望通过“醒目”二字时刻提醒自己，成为他人口中“醒目”的人，更成为自己心中理想的样子。

此外，“醒目”也象征着那种让人眼前一亮的瞬间，如同印刻在我们脑海中最抢眼的画面。在这次的影展，我们将通过四部短片追溯生命的过往今来，寻找让自己睁开眼睛的生命碎片，将其雕塑成一个完整的故事，透过影展巡回，和观众们交流。

“醒目”影展不仅是对机灵与智慧的探索，更是对惊艳与震撼的追求。通过影像的力量，我们希望观众能感受到那种由内而外的醒目时刻，并激发他们内心的灵感与创造力

影展形式

新纪元大学学院戏剧与影像系历届毕业生曾举办不少巡回影展，跨越各校与州属，进行毕业影展。这次《醒目》毕业短片巡回影展也不例外。我们将带着4部短片进行为期八天的巡回影展。

闭幕放映当天我们将会邀请业界影人参与毕业生作品的讲评。

1. 家

 这是公公去世一周年的忌日，嘉琪和爸爸回到老家祭拜。爸爸希望大姑和叔叔也能一起团聚，但大姑因财产分配不公，对叔叔和公公心存怨恨，不愿回来。尽管爸爸多次劝解，大姑依然坚决不回。嘉琪不理解爸爸为何勉强大姑，与他发生争执。叔叔也临时爽约不来祭拜，这一连串的事情让爸爸情绪低落。看着爸爸落寞的背影，嘉琪似乎明白了什么，决定为爸爸做些事情。

2. 书的秘密

 在繁忙的城市中，她努力工作却接连失败。与家人的矛盾、工作上的压力让她几乎崩溃。就在最无助的时候，他出现了! 并赠予她一本笔记本，里面的故事竟与她的经历出奇相似！通过这本笔记本，她开始找到力量，重新审视自己与生活。它将带你走进她的内心世界，见证她在困境中找回自我的旅程。

3. montage

身为婚摄剪接师的嘉恩某日接到委托，发现片中的新娘竟是曾经错过的人。为了完成工作，嘉恩必须揭开过去与现在的心结。

4. Last Dance

一次机缘巧合，让时隔五年不见的CJ与Jin在一间舞蹈教室重逢。在Jin的一次次追问下，CJ是否会终于吐露当年不告而别的原因？重逢的两人是会解开过往纠葛，或是当作什么事都没发生，而他们的那只舞蹈又能否在五年后终于圆满？

When we step into the world of film production through internships, we often find that the work requires us to rely on our own observation and wisdom to discover moments that can provide guidance and help us grow. This is why industry veterans often advise us to "Seng Mok" or "be vigilant," and to "find more Seng Mok people to help out."

These suggestions remind us that in the process of creation and execution, we must always remain alert and responsive, adapting quickly to new environments. We hope that by keeping the phrase "Seng Mok" in mind, we can not only become the kind of "Seng Mok" person others look up to but also strive to be the ideal version of ourselves.

Moreover, "Seng Mok" also symbolizes those moments that catch our attention, like the most striking images etched in our minds. In this exhibition, we will revisit the past and present of life through four short films, searching for the fragments that make us open our eyes, and sculpting them into complete stories to share with the audience through our film tour.

The "Seng Mok" film exhibition is not just an exploration of agility and wisdom, but also a pursuit of awe and impact. Through the power of film, we hope the audience can experience those "Seng Mok", eye-opening moments and be inspired to spark their inner creativity.

FILM FESTIVAL

Over the past years, Department of Drama and Visuals students have been successfully hosting a film festival tour through different states.

This year “Seng Mok” film festival, we will take our works to do a film festival tour as well. Closing ceremony at New Era University College and seven day of festival tour in other states.

On the day of the closing screening, we will invite film critics to participate in the review of graduates works.

SHORT FILMS SCREENING

1. HOME

It's the first anniversary of her grandfather's passing, and Jiaqi returns to her hometown with her father to pay respects. He hopes her aunt and uncle will join, but her aunt, bitter over an unfair inheritance, refuses. Despite his efforts, she remains firm. Jiaqi doesn't understand her father's insistence, leading to an argument. When her uncle cancels last minute, her father's spirits sink further. Seeing his despondent figure, Jiaqi begins to understand and decides to do something for him.

2. The Secret of Book

In the busy city, conflicts with her family and the pressure of work almost broke down. In the most helpless moments, he shows up and presents her with a notebook with stories that are surprisingly similar to her experiences! Through this notebook, she began to find the strength to re-examine herself and her life.

3. montage

Jia En, a wedding video editor, unexpectedly revisits her past when she's tasked with editing a wedding video for Yong Le, who happens to be the husband of her long-lost first love. Jia En must reconcile her past with the present while fulfilling her professional duty.

4. Last Dance

By a twist of fate, CJ and Jin, who haven't seen each other for five years, reunite in a dance studio. With Jin's persistent questioning, will CJ finally reveal the reason for his sudden departure years ago? Will they resolve their past misunderstandings or pretend nothing ever happened? And will their dance finally come to completion after five years?
