About

Concert pianist Lee Jae Phang and violinist Dr. Peter Jesudason warmly invite you to an evening of Viennese classics.

Taking centre stage in this evening’s recital will be works by Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven – the great triumvirate of Western Classical music. Though they were contemporaries and had an influence on one another, their individual musical styles show remarkable originality. Their music presents an unparalleled listening experience which communicates the whole gamut of human emotions, from the heights of ecstasy and joy to the darkest depths of despair.

In contrast with the works of the Viennese Classical Age, the programme also highlights selected violin musical miniatures by the great Jewish Austrian violinist Fritz Kreisler, providing a glimpse into the gemütlicher (cosier) atmosphere of pre-War Vienna.
