Our dashing hero, Richard Hannay, finds his humdrum life turned upside down when he encounters a mysterious woman claiming to be a spy. After she’s murdered in his flat, Hannay becomes entangled in a web of deceit as he’s chased by a secret organization known as “The 39 Steps.”
With over 80 characters played by a ridiculously talented cast, the play goes from a London music hall to the remote highlands of Scotland. It’s a comedic tour-de-force that includes legendary scenes like the chase on the Flying Scotsman, a harrowing escape on the Forth Bridge, and a murder in the theatre!
