【STAGE BEYOND BORDERS】《Matou》

由日本國際交流基金會(Japan Foundation)推出的「日本雲端舞台」(STAGE BEYOND BORDERS –Selection of Japanese Performances)，在國際疫情持續當中，嚴選優質的日本舞台劇、舞蹈、傳統藝能等作品線上全版播映，並提供多語字幕，讓世界各地觀眾跨越語言與時空的限制，免費觀賞日本精彩表演藝術作品。 此次與雲劇場合作，精選10部舞蹈作品放映，在表演藝術持續台日友好的情誼。

 

關於演出《Matou》

 

三東有時被稱為「怪物舞者」。動作纖細又充滿強韌，像是有意識地通過所有細胞實現對身體的完美控制，同時不斷釋放凌駕身體的火熱能量。三東的舞蹈與舞踏不同，他是一名將重力作為自身力量而舞蹈的舞者。舞蹈的動作原理與一般生物不同，仿佛還有許多生物巢居體內，預料之外的一連串動作，令人無法將目光從他的身上移開。 作品標題《Matou》，在日語的發音具有許多不同含義，包括「穿著」、「一直放在身邊」、「纏繞」等意義。三東本人也說「這是一部註定一生持續跳舞以令人生圓滿（日語發音也為「Matou」）的作品」。確實如他所說，本作自2015年首演後已經於世界各地巡迴演出並獲獎無數。在這場旅途中，作品發展得越來越深厚，觀眾也無數次地為其魅力所折服。 那裡並沒有故事。但在三東的身體里，戲劇時時刻刻都在發生。

 

關於 三東瑠璃

 

舞者，編舞家。出生於東京。5歲開始學習現代舞，幼時就已發表過編舞作品。除了以舞者身份演出日本國內外編舞家作品外，三東於2017年創立了Co. Ruri Mito，定期推出高品質的作品，在日本國內外榮獲眾多獎項，其中包括土方巽紀念獎。 自2020年起加入公益財團法人The Saison Foundation文化財團擔任研究員。目前活躍於戲劇演出、電影和戲劇等眾多領域。

MITO is sometimes called a “monster dancer”. Delicate but tenacious, she has perfect physical control with conscious command of each individual cell, but exceeds this with a fiery energy that virtually bursts from the seams. While distinct from butoh, her dancing style similarly uses gravity as its own force, an operating principle different from ordinary living creatures. Her movement is unpredictable, as if a number of animate beings were nesting inside her body, mesmerizing the audience.

The title “Matou” is a Japanese word with multiple meanings: to wear, to keep something constantly by one’s side, to be tangled or twisted. MITO herself says she was fated to continue dancing this piece in order to complete her life. Indeed, she has performed it all over the world since its debut in 2015 and won numerous awards. The work deepens with each performance and continues to win over new audiences.

Though the dance has no story, MITO’s body itself becomes a drama that never stops for even a moment.
