About
What does turning 30 mean, especially for women? Is it time to settle down? Get married and start a family? Make that big career change? Move out of the country and bring the cat along? Or finally cross Mount Everest off one’s bucket list?
Titled after the astrological phenomena, Saturn return is a cosmic event that occurs once every 29.5 years when the planet returns to the exact point when someone is born. An individual’s Saturn return is said to be a period of coming to terms with who we are, our sense of purpose, and the legacies we leave for the world.
In this devised production, six women explore what it means to hit the big 30. Together, they explore womanhood, spirituality, love, and death, while figuring out how they can utilize their past and present to anchor moving forward into the future.
Content warning: Saturn Return contains sexual elements and the discussion of death. Audience discretion is advised. FOR MATURE AUDIENCES.
Buy more, save more: Tickets to all Theatresauce’s productions this year are RM55 (Standard), RM45 (Bulk purchase of 4 tickets), and RM35 (Bulk purchase of 10 - 20 tickets for university/college students only – a free workshop is included. Email emma.martin3232@gmail.com for details.)
