About
Batik Art Therapy Series
Heal Thyself, Heal the World
The Batik Art Therapy Series offers a transformative journey through the therapeutic medium of batik art, guided by the theme "Heal Thyself, Heal the World." Participants will engage in three distinct workshops, each designed to facilitate emotional expression, self-discovery, and healing through creative exploration.
"Tie Dye Handkerchief and Shawl: Harnessing Nature's Palette" (WORKSHOP 1)
- In this hands-on workshop, participants will immerse themselves in the beauty of tie-dyeing using natural dyes on handkerchiefs and shawls. Inspired by the rich colors of nature, participants will learn about the benefits of using natural dyes and their therapeutic effects. Through the process of tie-dyeing, participants will not only create unique and vibrant textiles but also connect with the healing energies of the natural world, fostering a sense of harmony and balance within themselves
"Emotive Expression through Batik Drawing and Coloring" (WORKSHOP 2 & 4)
- In this workshop, participants will embark on a profound journey of emotive expression and self-discovery through the art of batik drawing and coloring. Guided by experienced facilitators and lead artisan instructor, participants will use batik as a canvas to explore and allow emotions to flow onto fabric in a safe and supportive environment. Through the transformative process of creating vibrant batik artworks, participants will experience a transcendental journey, finding solace and healing through creative expression
"Natural Dye on Shirt: Wearable Wellness" (WORKSHOP 3)
- In this workshop, participants will explore the art of natural dyeing on shirts, transforming everyday garments into symbols of wellness and self-expression. Guided by expert artisan and facilitators, participants will learn about the properties of natural dyes and their long-term benefits for both personal health and environmental sustainability. Through the process of dyeing shirts with natural pigments, participants will not only create wearable works of art but also embark on a journey of self-care and holistic healing.
The Batik Art Therapy Series offers participants a unique opportunity to engage in creative expression, self-discovery, and healing through the transformative power of batik art and natural dyeing techniques. By embracing their emotions, connecting with nature, and nurturing their sense of well-being, participants will not only heal themselves but also contribute to the healing of the world around them. Join us on this inspiring journey of self-discovery and transformation
