Week 1:
3 Nov (Fri) 8pm
4 Nov (Sat) 3pm | 8pm
5 Nov (Sun) 3pm | 8pm
First Half: "Stupid Wall" by Amelia Tan // James Kan
A line that doesn't connect two points, unable to form a surface; a wall that separates you and me, blocking the way for people. This divide isn't just about physical distance, it includes language, body, or upbringing; it's a high wall within the mind. People inside the wall only see what they want to see, gradually losing the courage to connect with others. This phenomenon continues to ferment in our daily lives, where all connections have failed, and even standing together feels distant. Through the interweaving of emotions and invisible barriers, this dance will capture the audience's hearts, reflecting on the challenges and resonance in interpersonal relationships.
Second Half: "Fifty Fifty" by Linda Ang // How Z
Performed in Mandarin With English Surtitle
This play takes you deep into the emotions and mindset changes of middle-aged women, peering into their inner confusion and how to face the complexities of life's turning points. This multi-talented team has injected unique energy and creativity into this work. Let's get to know these outstanding actors and creators, exploring how they have collectively crafted this touching story.
Week 2:
10 Nov (Fri) 8pm
11 Nov (Sat) 3pm | 8pm
12 Nov (Sun) 3pm | 8pm
First Half: "A Weirdo Like Me" by Chin Wai Kong // Goh Lee Kwang
Observing how a unique personality paves the way for unique achievements and charm in life. This play explores how different life paths enrich our journey.
"Being a weirdo like me, the louder the music, the better.
Being a weirdo like me, the more difficult to understand, the more precious.
Being a weirdo like me, the more rules, the less compromise.
Being a weirdo like me, the more normal the behavior, the scarier.
Being a weirdo like me, the harder it is to find like-minded people.
Being a weirdo like me, the less I understand what I really want."
Second Half: "Hamlet’s Dilemma" by Anthony Lee Yee Han // Liew Chee Heai
Performed in Mandarin With English Surtitle
Indecision? Cognitive bias? Misjudgment? Hamlet's excessive subjectivity leads him to plot one power grab after another in the absence of sufficient evidence. What kind of subjective consciousness and personality traits lead Hamlet down the path to failure step by step?
