Synopsis

Her Story | His Story presents the works of 6 new writers from various backgrounds and age groups, under the direction of Fa Abdul. The monologues are based on real life experiences, with themes touching on human conditions, femininity and masculinity. 
Keeping up with the concept of powerful storytelling which has gained a strong and loyal presence for Fa Abdul and her revolving cast members, Her Story | His Story offers theatre enthusiasts a refreshing blend of relatable plots and twists that are colourful, surreal, humorous, and deeply introspective.

About the Director

Fa Abdul is a playwright / director, MalaysiaKini columnist, Children TV scriptwriter, media trainer and a published author. Her works are mostly Malaysian flavoured, filled with human elements and cultural relevance.
In 2013, Fa won the Best Educational TV Programme award at the International Science Film Festival, Germany. In 2016, she represented Malaysia at the first Asian Women Writers Festival, Singapore.
Fa enjoys everything she does, however her true passion is in the performing arts industry. Since 2012, she has staged over 100 short plays and full-length plays, and has received several awards such as the Mercedes Benz Creative Excellence Award (2015 & 2021) and the Kakiseni Boh Cameronian Award (2016).
Fa believes storytelling is a powerful tool in encouraging dialogues on prominent issues that ties us together as a society.
