The Gamelan Residency 2025

A Two-Phase Journey of Cultural Discovery

The residency is strategically divided into two distinct parts to provide a comprehensive learning and performance experience:

• Part 1: The Intensive Residency (Feb 10 – 12, 2025) Held at the intimate Indicine, klpac, this three-day technical workshop focuses on the nuances of Gamelan instrumentation and ensemble playing. Participants will work closely with master practitioners to master their craft in a collaborative environment.
• Part 2: The Grand Stage Showcase (May 20, 2025) Following the residency, participants will take the spotlight at Pentas 1, klpac. This 90-minute professional production celebrates the culmination of the residency, bringing the powerful sounds of the Gamelan to a live audience.
