About
In 2025, the Asian Producers Platform (APP) will host our annual APP Camp across two countries - Taiwan and Japan. This gathering of producers from across the region will develop industry networks, build friendships and knowledge; explore producing as a creative practice and deepen intercultural practice.
Taking place over 9 days from 22 - 30 November, participants will have the opportunity to explore the local arts and cultural ecosystems in Southern Taiwan and Okinawa, Japan.
Through a varied program of activities including site visits, lectures, discussions, research, performances and peer exchange, participants will learn about local arts and cultural scenes and gain an understanding about cultural policy and the landscape in which artists work, while meeting, exchanging and learning from fellow producers from across Asia. Participants will also build an understanding of the local and international socio-political contexts, challenges and opportunities faced by producers and artists working in these places.
Application Deadline: 14 February, 2025
Application Outcome: 28 February, 2025
It is free to apply to the Open Call. If accepted, participants will have three registration fee options to choose from:
- OPTION 1: US $850 - applicants who have already participated in APP Camp a minimum of 4 times
- OPTION 2: US $750 - all other applicants who are not eligible for OPTION 3
- OPTION 3: Negotiated discount for participants from South and Southeast Asia (excluding Singapore).
Further information about these options and what is included is available on the second page of the Open Call application.
Note that participants of APP Camp will need to be comfortable communicating in English, and the Open Call application must be completed in English.
