Sunway DPA's Three Sensational Short Plays

Sunway University's Diploma in Performing Arts cohort of 2023 presents three short scripts - The Widow of Fort Road by Alfian Sa'at, Malam Konsert by the late Jit Murad, and Operating Theatre by Jo Kukathas. 

Under the supervision of Associate Professor Leow Puay Tin, the production is a collective effort of 8 students, taking on the roles of acting, stage managing, directing and desiging.

Sunway University's Diploma in Performing Arts interdisciplinary curriculum covers two major disciplines: theatre and film. Over two years, students rigorously develop their knowledge and hone their fundamental skills in relation to both disciplines: onstage, backstage, in front of the camera, and behind the scenes. Students are supported by a diverse, experienced and dynamic faculty who reflect today's industry practices. Apart from lectures, students also learn through demonstrations, practical sessions, tutorials, viewings, discussions, performances and field trips. Students are encouraged to find a voice and be critical of their work. They also have ample opportunities to create for the here and now.
