THE BEST NYONYA, A MUSICAL (MELAKA)

Premiered in 2022, THE BEST NYONYA was Krate's first show after the lockdown, in collaboration with MyCreative Ventures under R!UH Nau, one of Malaysia's largest and most anticipated pop-up festivals. 

The interactive theatre performance was part of the main act and attracted more than a thousand spectators for each night. Since then, Krate has continued producing original, SOLD OUT immersive theatre such as The Missing Diamonds at The Baba Nyonya Museum Melaka (2023) as well as the recent outstanding showcase of The Great Gossip (2024), written and directed by Wee Shyre May. 

And now, due to popular demand, Krate is bringing back THE BEST NYONYA, now restaging as a full-scale Musical! A colourful and hilarious tale of marriage, family and societal expectations surrounded by a heap-load of drama, sing along to the familiar tunes of the past and be a part of the story!

Playing exclusively for 3 nights only-

22nd, 23rd, 24th November 2024 @ Panggung Bangsawan (Melaka).
