AIIA Improv is the longest running KL based improv comedy troupe that has been performing to comedy audiences since 2007. This will be the troupe's LAST KOPEK before moving on to other things. Last chance to get on this wacky, giggly, brain and bone tickling ride!

AIIA IMPROV
Since its inception, AI:IA has performed regularly at comedy clubs and arts festivals across the country. Its current members are active practitioners of Malaysia's stage and screen industry, namely Ashraf Modee Zain, Farah Rani, Iedil Dzhurie Alaudin, Shamaine Othman and Tung Jit Yang.
Ashraf Modee Zain
Ashraf Modee Zain is a freelance actor and writer for TV, Film & Theatre. A recipient for Best Actor in A Leading Role award during the 15th BOH Cameronian Awards 2018 for his role as Tunggal in Kandang (Malay Adaptation of George Orwell’s Animal Farm), his past works also include Lagenda Puteri Qaseh Season 1 (fantasy), Murder by Moonlight (whodunit comedy), Dukun Diva (comedy drama), for which he is an Asian Academy Creative Award National Winner for Malaysia, Disney’s Wizards of Warna Walk (Malaysia’s adaptation of Wizards of Waverly Place) and many more. Ashraf is also a founding member of AI:IA IMPROV.
Farah Rani
Farah Rani is a Malaysian actress, producer and teacher based in Kuala Lumpur. In her career spanning 18 years, Farah has been an avid theatre practitioner, having performed in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Tokyo, Adelaide, Brisbane and New York City.
She is most known for her roles in Instant Café Theatre’s 'Parah' (as Melur), 'Nadirah' (as Maznah), Playground Productions' 'Projek Disko Baldi' (as Farah), ‘Gold Rain and Hailstones’ (as Amy), The Actors Studio's 'Kandang' (as Bintaga), ph7 Productions' 'The Language Archive' (as Emma). Farah is also a founding and active member of the Improv Troupe 'AI:IA IMPROV’.
Iedil Dzuhrie Alaudin
Iedil Dzuhrie Alaudin is a prominent Malaysian actor celebrated for his compelling and nuanced performances in film, television, and theatre.
With a rich career that highlights his versatility, Iedil has become a familiar face in Southeast Asian cinema. He is best known for his roles in films like "Interchange" (2016), where his portrayal of Adam was widely acclaimed, "The Assistant" (2022), “La Luna” (2023) and 2023 Box Office hit, “Malbatt : Misi Bakara”. He has starred in Indonesian films as well such as, “Miracle In Cell No.7” (2022), “Toko Barang Mantan” (2020) and “My Stupid Boss 2” (2019).
Shamaine Othman
Shamaine Othman has spent 11 years working in the Malaysian and Singaporean TV and film industry as writer, producer, director and actor. Some titles that she has worked on are Fear Factor (ASTRO), Club Mickey Mouse (Disney), Geng (ASTRO), Kuasa (ASTRO) ,Histeria (ASTRO), Star vs Food (Discovery Plus) and From Saga With Love (VIU). Shamaine has also written and directed 3 short films - Love Story, Cuak and KL24: Zombies (YouTube).
In 2022, Shamaine staged her debut comedy special, Oh, No She Didn't to sold out houses at DPAC and Bobo KL. She currently runs a work-in-progress stand-up comedy room, Test Is Best.
Tung Jit Yang
Tung Jit Yang is a theatre performer and director. He has been with AIIA since 2009 and is a teacher of improvisation at institutions and schools such as klpac, Taylor’s University, and DouHouz. He believes improv to be at the heart of the theatre and is centered in his practice and teaching. Jit is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and his work has been seen all over Malaysia and KL, New York, Tokyo, Jakarta, and Russia. More importantly: #FreePalestine #AllEyesOnRafah
