Began his professional career in 1982 with KL Dance Theatre, St. Moritz Gold Band in Malaysia, and The King & I National Tour UK. He holds PhD in Dance, B.Sc. (University Malaya), MA Choreography (Middlesex University), Master Buddhist Studies (HKU), MA Cultural Management (CUHK), and Performing Arts, Ballet and Modern Dance Diplomas (UK). Institutional appointments include Head of MFA at HKAPA (2016-2024) and Dean of Dance ASWARA (1998-2015). Awarded Boh Cameronian Arts Awards for Cross-cultural Champion 2007, Best Production 2010, Best Choreographer 2015, Gamechanger 2019 and more, Sugam Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement 2024.
