Myrra Baity Khan

While I am relatively new to professional acting, I am greateful to have acted in Sun-J Perumal’s Upcoming film “Macai”, “If there is an Afterlife, I hope it’s your version instead of mine” is my first stage play as an adult- this has followed Almost 8 years of Hosting,Emceeing, Ad acting, co-producing the Award-Winning Documentary “The Hidden Cut”, a journalist and most notably a host for the localised Socio-political Explainer series “Newsflash” with episodes like “Is homosexuality Illegal in Malaysia” and “The Malaysian Monarchy”. I have also lent my abilities to various local productions in the Human rights and social spaces. Often with a variety of hairstyles and hair colours- good luck identifying me. I currently train Public Speaking with Intertxt Education, after training with MIDP for about 2 years- teaching students how to unlock their confidence. While most of my early explorations of creativity came with heavy corporate or NGO filters- I have decided to explore my first love. Theatre and stage performance. Of which I got my start in Convent Bukit Nanas at our yearly drama performances- peaking in high school as a finalist in the South East Asian Forensics Solo acting and Voice Over categories. I waited until I was in my final year to finally join the drama competition and pleasantly surprised when I got into the finals. I guess it’s better late than never. I am grateful to now be a part of this beautiful play which is being restaged ❤️🌸
