Jocelyn is training as a soprano under mezzo-soprano Ms. YiLing Chaing at KL City Opera Studio.
In 2021, she participated in the Italian international vocal competition The Song, co-organized by the Rossini Conservatory, where she earned 2nd place in both the Classical Solo (VII age) and Duet categories. In 2023, she competed in the Amadeus International Music Awards Salzburg, winning the Honour Prize in the Voice (Professional) category. She achieved a Distinction in the Grade 8 classical vocal exam from Trinity College London in 2024.
Jocelyn is an active member of the KL City Opera (KLCO) Chorus Malaysia, currently serving as Section Lead for the Soprano section. As a chorus member, she has participated in KLCO’s opera productions, including Bizet’s Carmen (2022), Donizetti’s L’elisir D’amore (2023), and Puccini’s La Bohème (2024). She joined the chorus for Verdi’s La Traviata in a concertante production by MOV Asia Korea (2023), performing alongside the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
Apart from classical performances, she has also participated in musical concerts and productions as chorister under KLCO, such as Broadway & Beyond (2024), Symphonic Rock (2024) with Tutan Entertainment, West Side Story musical (2024) by Bentley Music Academy.
She is also a member of Fiamma Opera Studio Malaysia, performing as chorus and principal roles in pocket operas such as the First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.
