Jamie Ong, a soprano and 2016 ASWARA graduate, immersed herself in Tokyo for 45 days, contributing as an assistant stage manager and chorus member.
Post-graduation, she became a full-time choir coach, later delving into orchestral conducting under the guidance of international conductor, Mr. Kevin Field. During the 2020 pandemic, Jamie pivoted her career, specializing in 1:1 vocal coaching for treble and female voices. Beyond vocal technique, she fosters personal development, enabling students to participate in musicals, orchestral performances, auditions, and more.
Embracing a growth mindset, Jamie is an aspiring CBT practitioner and hypnotherapy learner, believing in experiential learning. She recently founded her first choir, showcasing her commitment to professional and ensemble development. Jamie's diverse pursuits also include Latin dance, earning her first certificate in September.
As a musician and entrepreneur, Jamie embodies growth and artistic exploration. She provides singing lessons in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, and offers online vocal coaching as well.
