Nandagopall is an emerging actor who graduated from Taylor’s University and The Actor’s Studio Performing Arts Conservatory Degree Programme (TUTAS). During his time at TUTAS, he received comprehensive training in various aspects of theatre, including acting, directing, voice and speech, movement, devising, ensemble work, dancing, and production stage management.
Nanda made his acting debut in 2021 with Joe Hasham’s "Experiencing Usman Awang". Following this, he acted in several theatre productions, including "Prophet" (2021), "Philadelphia, Here I Come!" (2022), “Kaleidoscope” (2022), “His Story" (2023) and "They All Die At The End" (2023).
His performance at the Short+Sweet Theatre Festival 2023 earned him the Best Newcomer Award for his role in the play "Malaysia Madaian", directed by Fa Abdul. In 2022, he won the silver prize at the International University Carnival on E-Learning (IUCEL) for devising a play with his classmates.
He also attended the Asian Youth Theatre Festival's 2023 international residency programme and went on to perform at the festival, which was held in Ilo Ilo City, Philippines. Additionally, he served as the Youth Ambassador representing Malaysia at the 2023 Asian Youth Theatre Festival, where he hosted the festival alongside other international performers.
In addition to his creative pursuits, he was one of the co-producer for the Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival in 2023. He also held roles as a stage manager and assistant stage manager for the Short+Sweet Festival in both 2022 and 2023.
