Farid Izwan Bin Muhibbuddin was born on the 19th March 1992 at Klang, Selangor State, and started learning saxophone at the young age of 13. Admitted in the “Akademi Seni Budaya Dan Warisan Kebangsaan” (known as ASWARA) at the age of 18, he decided to pursue a professional music career and started learning clarinet with reputed Malaysian teachers and performers such as Late Mr.Hamdan Adnan(Clarinet) , Late Mr. Salvador Guerzo(Saxophone), Mr. Ahmad Shah(Saxophone) & Mr. Jari(Saxophone). He graduated from ASWARA and obtained a Diploma and Degree certificate in music composition and arranging.
Farid is regularly invited to play for local Orchestra such as Orchestra University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and University Malaya Symphonies Orchestra (UMSO), Symphony Wind Orchestra National Symphony Orchestra (SWONSO) and Orkestra Radio Televisyen Malaysia (ORTM). Since 2016 till now, he working full time as musician / music arranger/ music educator /cultural officer at Faculty Creative and Art, University Malaya.
Farid’s eclectic musical experiences, combined with a strong motivation and serious work ethic make him one of Malaysia’s very promising saxophonist, clarinetist, flutist, music educator and music arranger.
