James Wong

James Wong (performer) is a veteran advertising copywriter in the process of a 'rebirth' into the wonderful world of music. In truth, he’s been opening his gab to produce sounds and later as language skills picked up - words - since he started walking.

So, singing is something James has been doing for a good part of half a century. Now diving fearlessly and passionately into drums, guitar and keyboards - this (very) late bloomer is exploring a fascinating world of notes, chords, beats and an infinite variety of musical styles and disciplines.

Good buddy Mark once said James sounds ‘blacker than a black man’, when he belts out soul - so he now tells people he’s a ‘black man in yellow skin’. After decades of singing (with some breaks in between), James is embracing soul, the blues, funk and... basically anything that gives the listener happy goosebumps.
