A violin player by profession, Andrew pursued his music degree in UPM, majoring in Music Technology. Upon graduating, he joined CPAC as a violin instructor and was promoted to CEO of CPAC in 2004. As producer, he introduced the musical production, The Wizard of Oz in 2004, which was successfully staged and from then on, steered CPAC towards producing full scale stage musicals annually.
In 2017, CPAC raised the bar when they wrote and produced their first original musical, Alice’s Wonderland. This endeavour was recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for being the “first school to stage an original musical at a professional level”. Spooks, the Musical is the third original musical after Dames & Dimes which premiered in 2019.
Andrew is also a vocalist, producing music videos through CPAC Studios and in the process, collaborating with other vocalists. He started a #DaddyDaughterDuo known as "Andrew & Kimberly Chan" on YouTube. They also perform their "duets" for live events and other occasions.
